There's a ribbon in the sky........

I posted this article because it featured three of my heroes, and it reminded me of when Pooks and I went to see Stevie this summer and sang about the ribbon in the sky. :)

Stevie's definitely on the top of the fall in love/sexy time music for me. In all serious, who is it for you? I swear to god if you reply with like Nickelback or NWA, we're fighting. I'm being serious!

From the sounds of it, we can thank Stevie Wonder for the very existence of the new First Family.

"I think it's fair to say that had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me," President Barack Obama said at a White House concert before presenting the singer with the Gershwin Award for Lifetime Achievement. "We might not have married. The fact that we agreed on Stevie was part of the essence of our courtship."

The East Room of the White House was transformed into a concert hall, featuring a high-wattage lineup of Wonder, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Martina McBride, Paul Simon and will.i.am. The performances are scheduled to air Thursday night on PBS.

At the concert, the First Lady, who appears on the cover of the new issue of PEOPLE, also revealed that Wonder's Talking Book was the first album she ever bought, and that his song, "You and I," served as the couple's wedding song.

Wonder said he had reason to thank the President too: He praised Obama's efforts to unite the world "so that in my lifetime I can write some more songs about love, about unity, and real songs of passion." And, he added, "You know, maybe I'll be a part of creating some more of those babies."
